I don't know how far north you're talking about but I fish where the east and west prongs come together and we tear them up on mini spinner baits (Strike King Mini-King/Booyah Mini Shad) chartreuse with blood spots is my favorite color. Get some white and chartreuse grub trailers too. Wade up stream and reel your bait down stream. Oh and make sure you have a good pair of river shoes.
