Syracuse came to play ball today! They played all out. Im not sure what this says about the type of year they will have this year in the ACC.

I wasn't sure before this game, but yes, I agree, they are.

our friggin' penalties and dropped passes.

Yes, that's been a problem in both of our close games this year. Hopefully, we get that cleaned up over the next few weeks.

I don't know how the 27 point line was justified by the bettors. in tiger stadium maybe, but that dome is loud as shite.

The last two SEC teams that went there were Florida in 1991 and Tennessee in 1998. Florida got spanked and Tennessee barely escaped with a last-minute one-point win, benefiting from a questionable pass interference penalty on 4th down that kept their game-winning drive alive. That 1991 Florida team won the SEC title; the 1998 Tennessee team went undefeated and won the national championship.

They were tonite. They were one step ahead of us all nite except for a few big plays. They can flat out tackle.solid well coached ball club out there tonite. They exposed weaknesses that I didn't realize we had tonite. We've got slot of work to do . We were out coached again tonite 2/3 this year which is very rare.
All this crap about what record these teams will have is hyperbole. Who knows how this yr will turn out. look at last year. U could've made money taking Ohio St about this time last year. LSU will be a better team and so will Syracuse for the contest. this whining about the refs, penalties home dome , LSU was flat -- cry baby excuses galore.
How about a young qb who looked like all of 12. Who was lost in the first half showing tremendous courage and gave it to our secondary in the 2nd half. If u can't appreciate that and their schemes and attitude in general then stay lost. How about if he played the first half like the 2nd half, if not for a batted ball interception or a punt return or even 1 LSU turnover.....
Their coach and their QB had them in the game and kept them in the game.
A tip of the hat to Syracuse from this LSU fan.

they played damn hard tonight

It was at 11:00. How is that "tonight".

Not making an issue out of the early game, but WHY do people constantly refer to games played DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS as "tonight" or "last night".

Really grinds my gears!

We won playing our worst game. Football has injuries. It's called next man up. Bring ur #1 Qb to tiger stadium and get ready to be blown out. I remember when you guys almost beat Fsu and they won a natty. So get over it. We should have won by 28 if we remotely play with any intensity

It was GREAT to see the Orange Men back on track to being the BEASTS they were in the '60's. One of the most enjoyable competitive games I have seen in awhile. Syracuse and its fans are a CLASS ACT

Nah

They have a couple of good athletes. But, they have no QB at all. And, their defense is pretty average.

Nah, we've seen same vs other "decimated" sqads like UNC and '13 OM.
Take opp and pts any time you hear it.

they're not good at all. They didnt have a player out there that could start ahead of anyone at LSU.

game should have been a blowout, and just because it wasnt doesn't make them "pretty good"

I believe Syracuse gave LSU their best shot and my hat's off to them for coming out and making it a game.

why is it when lsu struggles against weaker teams, do people say " this team will win 10 games , this team is definitely a bowl team, they will win their conference etc..? instead of admitting lsu had a bad game, they need to work on this?
