As long as he, and just as importantly- the players around him, keep performing like this (can handle a slight step back too)- YES
I'm perfectly ok with the school/staff/teammates hyping him to holy hell and LF kinda hovering out/above the fray if that's what it takes. Conditional on Leonard just keep being Leonard AND it the season stays about winning the SECW first, not about LF's awards. When I say this I'm mainly thinking of football staff, the department, and the school as a whole... not any players including LF.
On the whole, you never know how it may be needed to help the team. Let's say we beat OM and lose to Bama (or whatever) and end up needing a tie breaker to get into the SECCG, and then lose that one in a close one. The hype that follows LF could be helpful with that committee and could be a/the difference maker in their decision. It is a different world now. Star power, hype, and marketing DO have an effect.
