We ran the veer in high school and went wishbone on the goal line only. As another poster said, I'd rather see LSU run the wishbone instead of the wildcat, especially if it kept LF out of the air.
The veer was very effective in high rushing and scoring, but there were also a lot of turnovers. It did account for one of the few times John Curtis was beat in the dome, and I guess that's why they run it now. Of course we had a qb that resembled Harris and was pretty highly recruited, some bad arse running backs that all played in college, and a tough-as-nails coach.
ETA: I like the attack LSU currently has. Harris will burn teams soon with stuff we haven't seen yet.
