Ahhh. From what I remember reading, the aluminum panels were expensive as hell to fix. Thought they were more prone to denting as well.

Lots of luxury brands use aluminum, but until more domestic brands do, price will remain high. I have insurance on my vehicles, like most people, so cost is a non issue. More of something to complain about when other complaints fail.

GM, despite their ads, are moving to aluminum body panels in 2018 too. Should help drive down cost for those without insurance.

If a man as the coin to drop on a 60k truck, then it's his on damn fault if he doesn't have insurance to pay for the damage.
