I cut and shaped a little stand to put in my crock pot to lift meat off the base about 1" if I wanted something to drain(like fat up pork loin) or only half submerged(like some chicken).
Made a difference. But I love the texture and consistency of chicken from a crock pot. Shredded up and mixed in salad or into a bbq sammich.

Well hello stranger.
I've put deer roast in a crock pot and made BBQ sandwiches out if it. They tell me its good.
