I do not listen to country music, but Emily Ann seems legit, and she has the star "look" like Underwood did when she was on American Idol. Very marketable, and I would not be surprised to see her be successful.
The antithesis of this is Jordan. he does not seem marketable for anything but perhaps Broadway, and even though he can hit some high notes, I don't get the love.

My sister, knowing that I've watched both The Voice and American Idol in the past, and then praised Emily West on America's Got Talent, called me after Jordan Smith's performance of Somebody to Love. I had never heard of the guy, having sworn off these types of shows a couple of years ago as stale entertainment. She asked me to YouTube some of his performances. So I did.
True singing talent is rarer than you think. There are greats... Freddie Mercury, Art Garfunkel, Elton John, Ray Charles... and many not-quite-so-greats... George Michael, Elvis Costello, John Forgerty...
For now I'm sticking with my assessment that Adam Lambert is the best singer to ever come out of one of these talent shows, but I am very impressed with Jordan Smith. I don't think I've ever seen a cover of a Queen song that I liked until now... Freddie made that near impossible.
