Same for LSU

We got extremely spoiled in 2011. Those two teams were arguably the best teams in Saints and LSU history. They went a combined 27-4 that year. In a very, very small way, it could be better that they didn't both achieve championships. I would have hated to have to tell my future kids that they are the second best thing to ever happen to me after the 2011 football season.

Not that it's on the same level of LSU competing for a nat'l championship and the Saints breaking records left and right/looking like a clear SB favorite, but 2011 was also the year that UL took a big step forward to become a bowl team (and win a bowl) for the first time in like 50 years. LA Tech also made a bowl that season, although they lost.

My buddy and I still talk about how in 2011, Louisiana was probably king of the football world.

...and it all came crashing down so quickly.

It would make a great 30 for 30...
