People always go to those two extremes...

"Bringing a small child in the middle of summer is hell"

"Do you never vacation with a small child?"

And as always, reality is somewhere in the middle and is strongly based on expectations and desires.

We brought a 1 yo last january. But it was a trip for us. We were running the races and spent a few days afterward. We go fairly often and haven't felt the need to do everything in every park in a single day. We brought family (parents and grandparents) who helped with the kid. And even had one day where we got a sitter so we could take one of the tours that doesn't allow people under 16.

Our next trip will be next November. He'll be 3 and, again, we're bring family (cousin, his wife and daughter). We'll be staying at Bay Lake Tower which is going to be great for mid-day break at Magic Kingdom.

I hate summer in Disney. Too hot for me.

ETA: But to the OP, Port Orleans (Riverside or FQ) is much better overall than CB. Smaller, quieter, better food choices. Neither has a leg up location wise since they're both EPCOT area resorts.

I like going mid May myself.. Early enough that Fl schools still in and Its just warm enough to hit a water park.. anything past that it's way too damn hot.

We went the last week of of this past May and it was nice. Not overly crowded temps were mid 80's now that my youngest one doesn't wake up at buttcrack o dawn we slept later and hit parks more in the evenings..
