22" Weber performer

This! I smoke all the time on mine without the smokenator, just use two fire bricks to stack coals on one side and put meat on the opposite side. Works great.

The $150 (Premium) and $200 (MasterTouch) models of Weber 22" lack the table but take less space. I have both of those (recent upgrade) and a nice folding table that stashes away when not in use. I would spring for one of these at least. The cheaper models lack an ash-can and some other frills.

You can grill direct or indirect, and you can smoke low and slow. I smoked two racks of babybacks on mine recently. Lamb chops are going on the grill tonight. You can also add the rotisserie down the road.

I have a Smokey Mountain Cooker, but I use the kettle the most because of the convenience.
