Advice on versatile grill/smoker

Looking for something that can function as both a grill and a smoker (think BGE or something along those lines)
I won't use it often so I'm a bit hesitant to drop a lot of money on an Egg or a Primo. Definitely wouldn't need a very large one either. Usually if I'm cooking it's for at most about 10-12 people and usually just 1-4.
Any suggestions?

Char Griller Akorn. Got one for 280$ at Wal Mart. Gets the job done almost as good as a BGE

Vision Kamado from Sams. It's on sale for $499 I think, and fits all of the BGE accessories. I've had mine for several months and love it. Doing an overnight smoke on it tonight for some pork butts!

The akorn is awesome for the price. Can get up to 700+ degrees for steaks and down to 225 and below for smoking. Smoked a brisket last week and after I took it off, let it burn itself out. I was able to hold 225 steady for 30 hours on one load of lump charcoal.
