If the fielder is in the baseline like Kang was then its fair game IMO

Kang did a great job of getting out of the way of the baseline. If the runner just goes straight on, the play develops like it should.

Which gif were you watching? He was clearly out of the vase path. In fact, it look like the runner clips him intentionally.

If he goes out of the baseline, he should be ejected, if not, it's a fair play.
