Although I am still in school, I deal with charities on a weekly basis now.

Someone that is in the corporate ladder very soon will probably be able to tell you exactly.

Many companies have adopted social responsibility, so it may be in your contract that to work for this company you must involve yourself, and this may be the choice.

Also I am sure just like in personal life, corporate businesses might be getting a break tax wise, and instead of taking it out of profits/revenue directly, just simply pushing the costs on the workers.

But be sure, with a "companies", they put somewhere in the contract language they could do this. They would not just risk it over indiscriminate charitable giving.

I think your company should be OK with you going and physicaly support them by investing your time and labor if you dont want to go the money route.
