I thought I was posting to the F&D board, not the OT or the rant. I just wanted some insight on the restaurants I listed not a verbal lashing about the attire I choose to wear.

First of all, I wouldn't choose any of those restaurants. Antoine's sucks. You will need a coat for Galatoire's, but it is a good old school place. Arnaud's is pretty good too.

I would do Herbsaint or August personally. If not, I would look at Gautreau's, Le Petite Grocery, or Clancy's for an anniversary.

You will probably be better off in slacks and a button down at any of those places, but you won't need a coat. You CAN wear jeans and a polo at any of those, but you may feel a bit out of place, especially at August or Gautreau's.

And the reason you are being made fun of:

"Nice Jeans" is a running joke around here. Anyone who comes in here with that gets a good ole fashioned rogering. Refusing to wear at least slacks and a button down to a nice restaurant is seen as pretty amusing.
