Also one to check out are the Elcan SpecterOS 4x. Very similar reticle and comes with a QD mount for 1250 at swfa.com I've done a lot of hard shooting with both the RCO (TA31A) and Elcan. I think the elcan has better eye relief. The elcan uses batteries to illuminate the reticle (which is not necessary to use the optic but is a nice to have) as opposed to the fiber optics and tritium used in the acog. However, on typical bright days (in say... a desert) the fiber optics of the acog actually collect too much light and cause the chevron reticle to 'bleed' (ie blurry) so we all put electricians take over 4/5ths of the exposed fiber optic so reduce this and peeled it back as the light levels got lower.
