I'm not. I'd be happy just going to a dinner at the restaurant of my choice. I can afford to buy myself what I want. A little time alone with my spouse would be more important to me. I like Christmas ornaments, so an ornament marking the year would also be fine. 8th anniversary isn't a big deal. 10 is more substantial...20, 30, 40 etc...those might warrant a short trip.

8 yr is nothing! My wife sent me a pic of a pair of $700 shoes for our 10th and I'm like wtf do you need $700 shoes for!
