I don't think any of you understand his point.

He is saying AU's DL looks bigger than ours. Their DL is getting abused by JSU's OL.

I don't think size is their problem - Gus doesn't pay much attention to defense. Ellis Johnson is a turnaround guy (and he did a good job when he came to Auburn), and Garner is a good recruiter, but there is more to it in our league.

We had a great Xs and Os guy the past few years, but a mediocre recruiter (at best). His DL coach was good, but not great, and it showed over time.

Yeah, I want a great recruiter AND great coach at every position, but the big guys need to be developed more than the skill positions - IMHO - as too many of them make it mainly on size and athleticism in high school. When that evens out, they need better technique. Garner has put a lot of guys in the NFL, so maybe there are other issues on the plains.
