I completely agree!
After watching the SEC West teams play this week I just don't see how LSU can improve that much to not lose less than 3 games this year. Then beating a team like OSU in a playoff is a pipe dream.
I think 9-3 with Bowl win would be a very successful season this year.(should have been 10-3 if they would have played Saturday)

Hoping your team can make the playoffs and win a championship is the best part of being a fan. Whether it's LSU, the Saints, or whatever team your a fan of.

And you are comparing the rest of the SEC performances to our 1 possesion of Offense and 1 possesion of defense. Good lord you people are clueless. Go be an A&M or Bama fan, you dont deserve your P&G, turn in your LSU cards. Bunch of Vaginas

What are you comparing LSU offseason from an 8-5 season to being so much improved that LSU can win the west and compete with OSU for a NC? You are freaking delusional.
LSU can be much better than last year and still lose 3 games.
Miss St - Not as good but play on the road no warm up game this one could go either way.
Auburn - Very good team game could go either way
USC - LSU should win this one but its on the road too
UF - Better than last year LSU still should win
Alabama - On the road and against a better team. Loss
Ole Miss - Impressive and on the road. Either way
TAMU - really improved defense, could go either way

What you fail to mention is, there are teams on your list that were eight and five last year like us, there are teams on your list that were far better last year than they will be this year, and we beat them last year when we were far worse than we are this year, and the one team you have slated as an automatic loss, we had on the ropes last year with our worst team in the last decade plus. It took them over time to beat us. Then they went to the playoffs as the number one seed.

It is the start of a new season, LSU has not yet played their first game, it's natural and understandable for fans of the team to have optimism and excitement, and sure, sometimes it's a little unrealistic. Sometimes it may be a bit too much.
But this time, it's not just the over-excited local fans. About half the national media has predicted LSU will make the playoffs. We have a preseason Heisman favorite at tailback, possibly the most talented group of skill position players in college football, and several likely All Americans on defense. Everything we see points to an impressive season ahead, a special team. If you can't get excited for that, if you want to shite on that, then do everyone (including yourself) a favor, and go follow the major league pennant races or something.

This is a new LSU season with great recruits wonderful players and great coaches,I trust LSU when it comes to hiring coaches why shouldnt we be hopeful !

I don't think anyone has a problem with him saying we should be realistic. It's the delicious melts comment that makes it comes off as he WANTS LSU to lose a game just so he can say "ha I told you they couldn't do it."
