Work something out doesn't have to mean take all her work. She could have served the non-alcoholic beverages, handled the trash pick-up, or any number of other duties.

They were doing that for a while but another stewardess filed a complaint that she wasn't serving alcohol and that she had a book with "foreign writings" and wore a headdress.

I realize that but why should an employees get special treatment? why isn't that considered discrimination?
