re: What was your favorite meal cooked by your grandmother?

She was an ol Cajun lady who could cook anything & make it taste great but for some reason, as plain as this may sound, she cooked the BEST baked chicken & rice and gravy, with smothered leeks, smothered squash, & a mustardy/eggy potato salad. MAN! I could tear that up by the plate fulls. I haven't met anyone who can bake a chicken like her or smother leeks the way she did. I've got the smothered squash & potato salad down to a science but that chicken rice & gravy & smothered leeks cannot be duplicated. RIP Mommie
