I can honestly say Charlotte is 20 years ahead of BR when it comes to transportation, roads, schools, and cost of living. That's why my older siblings decided to stay.
They have the loop down, but are they going to ever widen I-77 and I-85 north of town?

This is the 3rd major publicly traded company to leave Baton Rouge. Shaw was acquired, Amedisys moved to Nashville, and now Albemarle to Charlotte. 2 of the top 10 public companies in Louisiana move HQs in a matter of months.
Only 2 public companies left in the Baton Rouge area now Lamar and H&E Equipment Services.
I also anticipate that Tidewater will officially make it official that they are relocating to Houston due to the O&G slowdown to save costs as well.
