apparently the individual schools financial aid offices come up with the amount. Of course the athletic dept or SEC offices can but pressure on the financial aid office. There is no one set universal criteria. Funny how Bama and Auburn both somehow come up with the highest amounts.

should just be one set amount, $5000 perhaps, for all NCAA schools to take the monkey business out of it.
