I was already in ATL when the levees broke. I was getting communication from people back in LA about armed thugs (machine guns) walking the streets as far as Baton Rouge etc. first hand testimony (black & white) said the convention center "news" was BS and the "thugs" we're actually local street/hood kids HELPING move the sick and elderly, searching for water/drinks/food (survival resources in an emergency situation is not looting or stealing FWIW). The media made it hyperbole and the frightened citizens nowhere near ground zero were fanning the flames of the hyperbole.
