A board member at my local soccer club told me that the offsides rule has been modified. I searched on google and on FIFA's website and don't see anything about the actual rule. Just an article how Bournemouth was screwed. Can anyone give me an explanation or an actual link of the new rule. We are supposed to be implementing it in our league this year.
Thanks

Q&A: THE OFFSIDE RULE EXPLAINED
All you need to know about the new law

-How did the old rule work? Previously, a player was allowed to stand in an offside position as long as they were deemed to be not actively interfering with play.
-Meaning? Effectively, as long as a player did not touch the ball whilst in an offside position, the player would be not interfering, and would be onside.
-What's changed? A player will now be ruled offside if they clearly make an attempt to play the ball, or, if the offside player makes an action which impacts his opponent's ability to play the ball.
