You'll get as much use of of that appliance as any other similar expense you'd lay out. If it makes the kitchen look better and it will, don't be penny-wise and pound foolish. Get the nicer model.

Word of caution though. If you are not going to have a secondary fridge in the house, make sure the counterdepth design will fit the things you'd expect to use it for --- like a pizza box for example. Many won't.
