I have always had anxiety since I was a kid. I've tried to beat it on my own for over 10 years & it just didn't work. The past couple of years have been really bad. I get attacks where I feel like I can't breathe & my heart races so I start freaking out. I'm on daily medication now & I feel like my old self again! I'm not constantly worried about my health, I am more social... I just feel like I don't dwell on things anymore. I'm not so pessimistic. My anxiety has always helped me being organized & medication has not changed that. There are still some things I need to work on but that's what therapy is for.
They say medication & therapy together is the best route & eventually they will take you off of the medication. So that's what I'm working on now.
