Simpler and cheapest way would've been to screw a $2 cabinet handle on the door of the original safe he purchased, if the only problem was the door being hard to open.

This is a very strange thread. For a lot of reasons.

I still have it actually, haven't had time to run to Wal-Mart( ) yet.

The thing is, the ammo box was a fair amount cheaper, has the same wall thickness, and I already had the red lock that is on it laying around. I bought the ammo box to save a few bucks, while still getting the wife to shut up(*1), and it actually holds a lot more stuff. So now I can keep all of ammo in one place. Which is much more convenient for me.

*1: Can we all agree on the following?

Anything that gets the wife to stop her nagging, and shuts her up, is a good thing to pursue. No matter how much it makes you look like a cheap arse.

Also, to the people dogging me. At least I made 1 good decision yesterday, so I am not a total loss as a gun owner.

Using a Hi-Point .380 as part of a deal to get my hands on that S&W M&P Shield. I am loving this gun so far. Shoots like a dream for me.
