If this guy had been a cop, the OT would have lost their collective mind on him for escalating the situation. He should have just taken their abuse, it's part of his job. Etc. etc. he is basically a water cop, so why is he getting a pass?

IMO. They were TPOS but he lost his cool and jumped on the one guy from the ladder. He was the one who decided to make this physical.

I wish the LG and the good samaritan would have beat the shite out of the 2nd guy as well after turning the first dudes lights out. Give him a taste of his own medicine and see if he ever jumps someone again. TPOS

Oh frick off. If someone threw a lit cig at a cop and then jumped him, everyone here would agree with the justifiable shooting.

Clearly cops and lifeguards are, and should be, held to the same standard- the extent of their power, training, and responsibility are obviously comparable.
