..... that's a tough question. i still would not consider him an all time great honestly unless he like wins by 20 or something. i still dont' think he could touch ghostzapper or zenyatta and i don't think i'd put ghostzapper on my top 10 list of all time horses and I LOVE ghostzapper. A 4 year old Spectacular bid / Seattle Slew would absolutely run american pharaoh in the ground.


for him to be an all time great he'd have to come back and do it again next year. He'd have to face some REAL adversity, and over come it.


Right now i'd put him in the same ball park as Sunday Silence /Alyasheba / Easy Goer, who were great race horses but you'd never her anyone call them the greatest of all times. Greats of a generation maybe.

Well, I would argue that until we both turned blue in the face. That horse won stakes races from 6 furlongs to 1 1/4 miles. He was so versatile. He's easily my favorite horse.
