I can't even buy all of the oil and filter as cheap as the price I an oil change at the quick lube.

Do you ever wonder why? Cheap oil and filters are no way to go thru life.

I had an ex that brought her car to a quick lube place. They forgot to fill it with oil. That cost me like $4k because they aren't liable.

If I'm not mistaken they use Penzoil there(or they claim anyway) , I've never paid attention to the filter brand. I will look a little closer next time I'm there. I know it is $96.00 for me to buy the stuff or $92.00 at the quick lube, I figured the difference in price was me buying the oil by the quart vs them by the tanker load. That and using the low priced oil change as a reason to get you in the door and try to up sell from there. I generally do all of the work that I am capable of on our vehicles, this just seemed like a no brainier though.

On a side note, the one up from our office left the oil plug loose on my bosses work truck and was 100% responsible for replacing the engine when it locked up the next day.
