I appreciate that and I do feel dumb for not making the connection on that link. But I do encourage you to watch Oliver's program. He is definitely a net good for society. And it's not his views that make it a net good, but the fact that he's reporting on the boring yet essential issues going on in our government and the international platform. You can disagree with him, which I do on quite a few issues, but you can't deny the basic facts he's reporting on and why we should care about these issues. He makes boring stories entertaining and gives me a reason to care about them.

Stewart doesn't really do that and mindlessly bashes Fox News. I'm well informed, and very rarely has Stewart told me anything of substance I didn't know about already.

Oliver though tells me pretty consistently about things I don't know about and why I should care about things I'm ignorant of. That's why he's absolutely a net good for society. Even if you largely disagree with him, I highly advice you tune in to his program just to know about the boring yet essential issues.
