Boy stop! He averaged 25 yards per return. Trindon Holliday had 26, 23, and 22.

18th in the nation is mediocre? Wow!!

With our athletes. Yeah, not good enough.

Wow.

LF averaged 26.0yards per kick return. OBJ averaged just 26.9 in 2013. In 2012, Ford averaged 27.5yards per return (surprise). In 2011, Mo averaged 25.1yards per return. PP averaged a ridiculous 29.1yards in 2010. Holiday averaged 24.4yards in 2009, 22.6yards in 2008, and 26.2yards in 2007. Doucet averaged 16.8yards per return in 2006. Skyler Green averaged 19.7yards per return in 2005. In 2004 we used a few guys back there and Doucet les them all with 22.6yards per return.

Outside of PPs ridiculous 29.1yards per return in 2010, LF did just as good or better than all the other guys that were our primary kick returners. Saying he was "mediocre" back there is just dumb.

Oh and everyone that is saying "if you take away the ND game and he was mediocre as a kick returner" and all that...

Well first off, you're wrong. Take away the ND game, and he still averaged 22.9yards per return, which is still solid. Secondly, most kick returners only get 1 or 2 long returns per year anyways. Take away that 1 game where they had that long return, and of course their average will go down. And you can't take that game away anyways. If you take that game away from him, then you gotta take away everyone's best game as a returner and THEN see where they stack up.

3rd in the SEC and 18th in the nation IS NOT "mediocre". At all.

That said, I still would rather not have on kick returns. Mainly because I'm hoping he gets 20+ touches per game for us at RB and want him as fresh as possible. And there is the injury risk as well, as small as it may be. It's an unnecessary risk IMO, especially considering that we have other guys that are more than capable of doing an excellent job for us back there. Really hope it's Guice and a guy like Donte Jackson or Chark. And we have a handful of other guys that would do a good job back there as well.
