Unrelated to this thread, but about a month ago I said I could fare well against the United States women's soccer team as a goalie.
I recently had the chance to try my goalie skills against some pretty good boys and girls soccer players. It was initially only supposed up be girls but they guys there also. So they got a shot too.
The really good players on the girls team were excited about the chance to face someone my size. I tried to count the attempts to see where I stood, but it got to be so fun I lost count. FWIW most of the average girl players struggled to score a goal against me, however the two best players made me realize how difficult this could be facing players two or three times more skilled than them.
The boys on the other hand were less skilled than I thought. They weren't as accurate as the girls, I assume it's because they were trying too hard. The best player on the boys team was really good. I was 4 out 10 against him.
