The most common treatment for TMJ is an occlusal guard. Most dental insurance doesn't cover any of the cost which is in the ball park of $600.00.you can buy an OTC appliance at a drug store and see if you get any relief with it. If so talk to your dentist about having one made. If you don't get any relief with it you should probably see a specialist.
