Some people just don't like spending money on depreciating assets. a listing of Billionaires who drive cheap cars

quote:

Jim Walton is worth nearly $30 billion, enough to buy an entire city or probably even an entire state. Instead, he chose to buy a vehicle named after a state. The youngest son of the founder of Wal-Mart is also the Chairman of Arvest Bank. Yet, he drives around in a Dodge Dakota, a vehicle that costs less than $30,000.

Ingvar Kamprad is a business magnate from Sweden. He is the founder of IKEA, a retail company that specializes in furniture. He truly knows the value of money, having started out as a businessman when he was still a young boy who sold matches to neighbors while moving around on a bicycle. These days, he has upgraded his bicycle, though not as much as his $53 billion net worth would suggest. He still drives around in a Volvo 240 GL that he bought way back in 1991.

My first car(minus the wagon part was a '81 240)

Azim Premji is a business tycoon from India. He is the Chairman of Wipro Limited, a multinational company that specializes in information technology, consulting and outsourcing of computer services. It is considered as the third largest IT services company in the country. It also has a subsidiary that is involved with consumer care, lighting, health care and infrastructure engineering. He has a net worth of over $12.2 billion, making him one of the richest Indians in the world. He was also included in Time magazine’s list of most influential people in the world. Despite his fame and fortune, Premji drives around in a humble Toyota Corolla.
