Had a little run in with NoShoulders, Jr. today while going out to feed the horses. About two feet long, with two buttons.

Got barn cats for those. Vet bills for a snake-bitten horse get mighty steep.
To clarify for the serpent-lovers: if it had not have been within such close proximity of the horses, I wouldn't have bothered him. "Good" snakes I leave alone; ones that can literally kill my livestock (or cost me thousands of dollars) and are close enough to them to be an existential threat die.

I don't see how anyone can disagree with this.

My dad has horses and cattle and bird dogs. He takes the exact same approach Maroon. Except with moccasins. All those bastards can die.

Reptile lovers, I feel your pain, but you can kiss my lily white arse. If it slithers, it's dieing. Good, bad, indifferent. It could be a Pygmy Albino Mahooboo snake that hasn't been seen in decades. Sob could be the darling of the reptile world. But if he's in my crawfish pot when I pull it up, he getting cane knifed. To me every snake is a frickin Cobra.
