Id rather the shooter lives so that they can literally rot in jail. I think killing these guys is just what they want and it's the easy way out.
That shooting at the military recruiting place is an example. I wish that douche would have survived so he would have to watch his mangina (butthole) for the rest of his life.

This is true. A guy I grew up with who was bipolar and was dealing with severe depression basically did this minus the violence. Went into a Dollar General in a very small town near our hometown. He brandished a gun and ordered everyone into the back office. He had zero intention of actually hurting anyone and didn't but he knew people concealed carried all over town and that he would be shot. Basically suicide by police officer. He couldn't pull the trigger on himself so he put himself in a situation where he would be killed by police. A regular citizen carrying a gun ending up shooting and killing him.
