We're actually pretty good at this.

We both brown bag it for lunch and make big meals on Sunday to eat for dinner throughout the week.

Typically stop to grab some beer one day a week and break the streak.

Just checked and the last time we did this was July 19th, the in-laws were and town and picked up the tab that day

That was the only day in the month of July that we didn't spend money.

I'm a coffee drinker myself, but it's easy enough to get a Nespresso (if she's drinking espresso), or some cold-brewed coffee concentrate to keep in the office fridge. Way way way cheaper than the Starbucks habit. $4 x 3 days a week = $12....x 45 weeks = $540/year. Nespresso machine is $99, pods are about $.75/each. A bottle of Cool Brew is $6-8, makes about 16 iced coffees.

Or if you really want to be thrifty, make your own cold-extracted coffee from your favorite grounds.

An inexpensive mini fridge at the office is great for your lunch budget.
