Actually, it might matter.
At will employees can be fired for any reason not prohibited by law/statute. To the extent that freedom of speech is protected from such adverse employer action in the State of Alabama, there could be a cause of action.

Meh , the Supreme Court has already said many times that private companies must make reasonable accommodations for religion, why not speech?
