Nobody said that, but the way he acts on the field isn't "passion."
He slams his bat and stares at the pitcher when he walks. Somebody hitting below .250 should just be thankful to be getting on base. He gets hit by a bitch and borderline starts to shed tears. He pops a ball up and starts whining and screaming.

Fine. I see how his antics are obnoxious. That doesnt mean half the stuff said in this thread wasn't laughable. OP is a child.

See, you're flaw is that you think he cares about getting on base. He doesn't. He's old, having a bad season, and his team sucks.
Right now, right or wrong, the only thing Ortiz cares about is getting to 500 home runs.
