I would check the webcams. Be careful on the drive up if you plan to make it. It has been unseasonably wet this year. We have afternoon showers more often than not. I made the trip up there in June and it was 29...I wore shorts and a thin hood t-shirt up to Pike's Peak. It may not be weather you are used to. It's a dry cold so it's not like 40 and humid and you wear 2 layers of clothes. If you drive and don't use the COG train I would wear jeans and a hoody so you can stay longer. You won't feel miserable. Some parts of the summit were closed due to how much rain and snow we took but it looks nice now. I plan to make the drive up there by myself soon. I live about 20 minutes away but we took the COG because my son lives trains. Have fun and let us know how you like it I can see the summit of Pike's Peak beatifully from my porch in Woodland Park. It looks nice up there lol
