I moved to Baton Rouge 3 years ago and I spent a lot of time at Southern University football games and I also have family in the areabut I do think it’s wrong to affiliate crime scene with Southern University. It doesn’t paint a good picture for the university. My daughte has for the past 2 year been enrolled in the Upward Bound program at Southern University and it’s a very good program and they were houseing for 6 weeks this year paid by Southern University , plus take the children on paid educational vacations. Fully funded by Southern University. But no one is talking about the good stuff so I am here to talk about the good stuff about Southern University,and I have to very nice young people that has received Scholarships to attend Southern and one is even playing for the Human Juke Box So my experience the past 3 years I lived here in Baton Rouge all the way from Buffalo New York has been a good one for. Southern University. Its a privaledge and honor to be part of The Southern University Jaguar Nation My mom graduated from Southern over 50Years ago. She’ll be 83 August.
