No rational fan at halftime of Jan 9 thought JJ was going to bring LSU to victory. And, one assumes Miles isn't irrational.

Hence, he basically threw in the towel. Can anyone say JL would have saved it? Of course not. JL was a very limited QB.

But, good old Bama was not exactly surprised at the JJ outside runs that time. Frankly, the fact that Miles even THOUGHT that shite was going to work twice is mind boggling. But hey. OK. He thought it.

After a half, he fricking KNEW he was wrong. And gave up.
bullshite.

Your memory is so warped by your anger for Jefferson and Miles that you're full of bullshite.

January 9, 2012, lays like a cloud over too many LSU fans even four years later.

And do me one favor, don't try to characterize the blinding anger directed at Jefferson and Miles as the thoughts of "rational" fans. These same "rational" fans are still pissed that Miles pulled Lee out of the GOTC, and they have hated Miles ever since Lee went back to his backup role.

Tell me again how much of a "rational" fan you are, and that it's not based on your perception of how Miles treated Lee.

There are plenty of rational LSU fans, and there are just as many "rational" fans like you that hate Miles for his treatment of Lee. Of course your type of "rational" fans did not think Jefferson was going to bring LSU to victory in the BCSCG.

But then again, your type of "rational" fans has been proven wrong by Jefferson and Miles far more than proven right.

Your type of "rational" fan did not think at halftime of the GOTC that Jefferson was going to bring LSU to victory.

In OT, Jefferson executed a perfect short-side option to Ford which put LSU in position for victory.

LSU beat Alabama at their house in the GOTC.

Your type of "rational" fan did not think with four minutes left in the half and LSU trailing 14-7 against Arkansas that Jefferson was going to bring LSU to victory.

Jefferson passed for 208 yards, LSU's second highest passing total of the season, and Jefferson rushed for an additional 53 yards, all against the #3 team in the nation which positioned LSU for victory.

LSU blew the doors off of Arkansas, won the SEC West, and earned an invitation in the SECCG.

Your type of "rational" fan did not think at halftime with LSU trailing 10-7 to Georgia in the SECCG that Jefferson was going to bring LSU to victory.

Jefferson executed options perfectly and threw a TD pass to Hilliard as LSU's offense scored FOUR TDs against a Top Five defense in their own backyard.

LSU blew out Georgia and earned the right to play in the BCSCG.

So, of course, your type of "rational" did not think at halftime of Jan 9 that Jefferson was going to bring LSU to victory.

Unfortunately, the stars were aligned against LSU that night. They never got the spark they needed against a totally amped up Alabama desperate for redemption. However, Jefferson completed over 60% of his passes despite his porous offensive line.

Jefferson played in FOUR huge games in 2011 in which your type of "rational" did not think Jefferson was going to bring LSU to victory: the GOTC, the Arkansas game, the SECCG, and the BCSCG. At halftime, or four minutes before the half, LSU was losing in each of those games. Nevertheless, Miles showed faith in his starting QB, and Jefferson delivered.

Miles didn't quit in the BCSCG by sticking with Jefferson. Sticking with Jefferson for the second half had worked well in the three previous HUGE games.

LSU switched it up and tried to throw in the second half of the BCSCG but the line could not hold Alabama back long enough to give Jefferson time to throw.

So, your type of "rational" did not think Jefferson was going to bring LSU to victory in four HUGE games in a row. Hey, your type of "rational" fan was right once out of four times. Sounds like you take great pride in that.

Tyrann Mathieu nearly singlehandedly beat Georgia in the 2011 SECCG. Jefferson had very little to do with the outcome of that game.

I don't disagree with the broader point you're making, but that was a really, really bad example to try to illustrate your point.

Na Lonnie is one of the more rational lsu fans on this site. He is a Miles fan and he doesn't shite on LSU'S accomplishments because he doesn't agree with Miles.
