Arena football is not real football. The product and whatever it offered has worn off. A legitimate football league in the spring in mostly Southern and Southwestern cities would do well. 8-10 teams play 10 game schedule. Two divisions and the winners play for the title.
There are a ton of college stars and veteran NFL guys with names looking for jobs.

Great point! Place some "minor league" franchises in the south. Christ, they have 100k show up for spring games. They're dying to watch something!

where are the fans gonna come from? it's still minor league football going up against baseball and basketball
is August through February not long enough or something?
A lot of what builds a football fanbase is game significance (where your team fits in on its level and in the larger picture of the sport itself) and history. a new spring league would have 0 of both
