Just thought I'd throw in my two cents here.

You don't trade Maybin right now unless you get absolutely wowed by the return. And I'm not talking more pitching prospects. Now, by next winter/trade deadline I think it's a different story unless something unforeseen happens in Mallex Smith's development.

Peraza is pretty much done in CF with Mallex being called up. So if Mallex can keep up his numbers and continue to learn how to be a CFer, he'll be our starter by next June or so, if not the start of next season.

I think Peraza is getting set up to be traded. I just don't see a spot for him. Ozhaino Albies looks like a monster so far in A ball. I think we try to sell Peraza and use Jace as a stop gap until Albies is ready.

Just my completely uneducated opinion.

On another note, it'd be great to get a win here. Hope Wisler can finish up the 6th. I've liked him a lot so far.

I'd agree with you on everything but the Maybin bit. If we get a decent deal for him there is no reason not to go ahead and move him. It's not like we are going anywhere this season, and getting a top 10 pick would allow us to make free agent signings. Mallex should be ready by June like you said, and Perez can start in CF till then.
