When we were in Florida, they were cheaper than Wal-Mart. And after waiting in line and dealing with the crowds at Wal-Mart, I would take Publix any day of the week.

No they weren't.

We have two Publix within a mile of our house. Just an example of how expensive they are.....A head of romaine, red leaf lettuce or green leaf lettuce is .99 at Krogers and Walmart. Publix: $2.50
