You have to network on LinkedIn.
Start trying to connect with as many people as you can in the field you want to get into. Then, start liking and commenting on posts that are relevant to what you want to do so that people will see you. Also, are you looking for jobs through LinkedIn? If so, then it's good to have a well-done page.
Recruiters/managers will look at LinkedIn, so it's better to have a good looking page, and not one that's plain and generic.

So how do you like working for XYZ company? Do you like it? I have an opportunity with ABC. How much are you making now? Do you know anyone else interested in a position with XYZ?
