Just let them get paid for their name. Let them have shoe deals, get paid for appearances, autographs, etc. Then each player is paid according to their worth.

This I agree with. I don't like the idea of the student athletes getting paid money by the university they play for. They get paid through scholarships. I think they should be able to capitalize on the value of their name through autographs, etc. though.
