I always thought naming landmarks, schools, etc. after Traitors to the United States was odd.

It's also weird how the north acts high and mighty over this issue when a lot of their political and military leaders had slaves themselves.

Should we not reference Thomas Jefferson anymore since he owned slaves?

The Union was far too forgiving of the South after the war & allowed these people to remain in power.

It was forewarned then that being too magnanimous with the CSA traitors would give birth to this Neo Confederate nonsense.

"Their social power must be destroyed. When traitors become numerous enough treason becomes respectable".


The proud monuments to these traitors confirms this quote.
