What area did u catch it in? If it was timbalier, lake raccouric, or leeville area it's a good chance it's my dad's he has tagged over 200 trout in that area this year.. It's the first year he has really tagged trout the last two years he has won top tagger for redfish. I'm not sure about last year but two years ago it was around 400 reds. You would be surprised how little those fish move most all the ones that get caught are less than a mile of where he tagged them. Last time I went with him we tagged about 50 school trout under some birds in the lake. The next day we went back out there and we caught two with his tags in them that we had tagged the day before. We would have never have know that without those tags in them. He gets about 5 letters a month from ldwf for people catching his tagged fish. It's a pretty neet program.

What's the point of tagging that many fish? That seems ridiculous

thats really cool!
is was southern terrebone bay - not gona say xactly where. the tag had growth on it and i had to clean it off to read it.
my heart skipped a beat at first thinking how much fun i could have rubbing it in my buddies face being a 2x STAR winner. i won the cobia/ling division a few yrs ago.
